Financial Assistance Scheme
MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS)
The Ministry of Education provides financial assistance to needy Singapore Citizen students in Government, Government-aided schools, Specialised Schools, and Institute of Higher Learning so that all Singaporeans so that they can benefit from the best opportunities in education. It also provides financial assistance to Singapore Citizen students from lower and middle income families.
Eligibility Criteria for MOE FAS
– Are Singapore Citizens.
– Have a monthly gross household income of $3,000 or less, or a monthly per capita household income of $750 or less.
– Difference between gross household income and per capita household income
– To calculate per capita income, divide the monthly gross household income by the number of people living in the same household. This allows students from larger families to benefit from the scheme.
Students who do not meet the MOE FAS criteria will be automatically considered for the school-based Financial Assistance Scheme funded by the School Advisory Committee (SAC) Fund.
Application forms for FAS for the following year can be obtained from the General Office around September-October period.
