CUB SCOUT UNIT

UNIT OVERVIEW
Sengkang Green Cub Scout is the only Uniform Group CCA offered in Sengkang Green Primary School. Established in 2018, our unit has grown with 70 active Cub Scout members now.

The Cub Scouts Unit aims to:

1) Develop their leadership qualities to become more confident and competent leaders.
2) Enable scouts to recognise strengths, needs, values of others and appreciate diversity in any environment.
3) Empower them to make positive contributions to the school and community.

To achieve these aims, our students go through the Cub Scout programme run by our teachers and participate in experiential trips, competitions, leadership camps and courses. They are also given the opportunities to learn and hone outdoor and life skills like map reading and outdoor cooking.

UNIT PARTICIPATIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Our unit has participated in and organised various events and competitions in 2019.

With our dedicated members, we achieved our first Frank Cooper Sands Silver Award in 2019. This prestigious annual award is given to units which have shown excellence in realising the scouting mission and upholding the scout promise and law in our students.
